Viju coordinates the national Urban Transformation Association NUTA which is in India. This consists of urban leaders from different cities. He has encouraged the work among the urban poor of the cities. Viju has also helped start prayer summits in cities of India. The goal is to have 400 cities in India develop Transformational movements in them based on church unity and prayer.
Valsa serves with ACT, the Association for Christians Thoughtfulness – an Urban Mission involved with working alongside churches in Mumbai (Bombay). This includes work with poor communities in the city, with poor women in employment and job training, leadership training and has a ministry of values based sex education in schools.
The Nickersons have planted a church in Noto, Japan, Noto Bible Church and Don serves as a missionary pastor. Don’s main duties are leading the services each week and preaching once or twice a month in Japanese and handling all of the administrative work of the church. Lorraine home schools the boys Monday through Friday and helps with the music part of the services and takes care of the children that attend.
The Owens have been in Taiwan since 1988. They have been involved in the planting of four churches. Barry is now serving as Field Coordinator for World Venture Taiwan. He is also serving as the Chairman of the Morrison Academy Board of Trustees, the missionary school system in Taiwan.
