Session 1 – Real Transformation for Real People
Speaker: David Johnson
Time: 9:30 a.m.– 10:20 a.m.
Is real growth possible? Can we be and live like Jesus in the 21st century? More importantly, can the people in my small group really grow and change? This session will help us rethink spiritual formation – what it is and what it is not – and model why this growth is not only possible, it's necessary.
Session 2 – Leading from a Healthy Soul
Speaker: Mindy Caliguire
Time: 10:20 a.m.– 11:05 a.m.
Real growth, real change in a small group starts with the group leader. Leaders don't need to be perfect, but they do need to be working on their own heart and life in order to help others do the same. In this session we will learn practical ideas to help us move toward soul health.
Session 3 – Safe People/Dangerous Groups
Speaker: Henry Cloud
Time: 11:30 a.m.– 12:20 p.m.
When group members develop healthy, authentic patterns of relating to God and each other, the environment is ripe for spiritual growth. This session will equip leaders with practical next steps to help their group share more deeply in their journey towards Christ likeness.
Session 4 – Flawed is the New Perfect, Part 1 of 2
Speaker: Heather Zempel
Time: 12:20 p.m.– 12:45 p.m.
When group members begin to relate authentically, it will get messy! But don't panic – this is actually a sign of progress. Learn how to work through the messiness and use it to foster growth.
Session 5 – Flawed is the New Perfect, Part 2 of 2
Speakers: Russ Robinson and panel
Time: 1:45 p.m.– 2:45 p.m.
When group members begin to relate authentically, it will get messy! But don't panic – this is actually a sign of progress. Learn how to work through the messiness and use it to foster growth.
Session 6 – The Word Became Fresh – Creatively Engaging Scripture
Speaker: Bill Donahue
Time: 3:00 p.m.– 3:45 p.m.
The Word of God is living and active, but let's face it – sometimes how we engage the Word in groups is not. Learn new methods and ideas to move beyond the read-and-respond methods that dominate most group meetings and engage the life-changing scriptures in fresh ways.
Session 7 – Why I'm a Lifer in Groups (and why you should be, too)
Speaker: Andy Stanley
Time: 3:45 p.m.– 4:30 p.m.
It's powerful and awesome to see people make real and lasting change in their lives. And that happens best in community. Andy Stanley has built his life – not just his church – around life-changing community. This closing challenge from Andy will help us strengthen our commitment to live and lead differently.
