Our History

 February 17, 1807 to February 17, 2007

To God be the Glory ~ Great things He has done !
Psalms 148:13,14

A farm house in Minot was the site where a small Baptist church took form. Elder John Tripp gave the sermon on February 17, 1807. There were ten original members, six men and four women. The church continued to grow and Rev. George Ricker became the first full-time pastor in 1810. Ricker served at the church for a total of 34 years. There is some uncertainty to the exact date but EABC's Historical committee concluded that the first meetinghouse was in existence before 1825 and located on the top-end of Turner Street. Because of its new location, the Minot Baptist Church was later named East Auburn Baptist Church.

EABC is celebrates its rich history and humble beginnings. We thank God for the work He has done in Auburn and surrounding towns. East Auburn Baptist church now has about 600 members with four weekend services.
